Rosa + Karl | Wedding

Rosa and Karl’s wedding was a perfect blend of, well, Rosa and Karl. It was the most beautiful day and the most beautiful display of their love. Each detail was planned out by the couple (and their beloved friends and family) to showcase who they are. Not to mention, it was one of the cutest most classic weddings I have ever been to. If you are a “campy” person, you too will be impressed by how they transformed a “camp” into a wedding venue. They were married at the camp where they met (and where I met them!) I love their story because they had each been involved in the camp ministry for many years before they even realized they were in love. It was a true honor and joy to have the opportunity to capture their wedding day as their photographer.

I must give you fair warning: this post is a long one!:)

The centerpieces on the tables all included old books Rosa had collected. (However, every centerpiece did not include their lovely rings!)

They opted to do “First Glance” and see each other before the ceremony. This concept is taking the wedding photography world by storm and I LOVE it. It made our afternoon so much less stressful and allowed them a sweet moment together before the wedding officially started. The coolest thing about the location we chose for First Glance is the sailboat you see in the first photo– it was on that sailboat that Karl realized he wanted to date Rosa. And it was on that sailboat that Karl asked Rosa to be his wife. Melt. My. Heart.

Rosa, you are beautiful.

You don’t look so bad yourself, Karl.:)I loved that Rosa’s dress had pockets. Pockets!?! The best. This photo, to me, is like cuteness meets Mad Men.

Karl and his siblings… his sister was his “best woman” (for lack of a better term) which I love.

To me there is just something about the exchange of rings and vows. You know what is challenging? Taking pictures through watery eyes. That’s what.

This only moderately well-taken photo is beautiful to me because it is a room full of people who have all worked with Karl and/or Rosa at some point at camp. This is a room full of people who share a love for Karl, Rosa, and camp!:)(I love those things too… I am just behind the lens in this one!)

Best introduction, hands-down. I am proud to call her friend.

There was definitely a photo booth… and it definitely included a ridiculous miniature horse.

A little nervous about throwing her flowers into a group of single women:)…In the end- a well-fought, well-deserved victory!

Married. And happy about it. Love these…

Kids know how to par-tay.

A whole table of yummy cakes from Caroline’s Cakes (including the 7-Layer Caramel Cake!)

They had guests light chinese lanterns for a beautiful send off. (They make them wire-free and fully biodegradable! Annnd, that’s my tree-hugging plug for the month.)

Rosa and Karl, it was such a blessing to be a part of your wedding day. Love you both!
